Hi, I'm Phanna
I'm a girl, 14 years old and live in Cambodia.
Phanna was selected through the recommendation from her village chief. The family is poor. Because of the family's bad financial situation, the child does not get sufficient nutrition intake. She also lacks in proper education.
She looked physically and mentally fine at the time of enrollment into the program. Her ears could hear well and her eyes could see clearly. She has good hygiene by brushing her teeth three times a day, and using soap whenever she baths.
Phanna lives with her parents, two older sisters, and a younger brother. This family lives in a small house (6x6 meter) made of wood with zinc roof. Her parents are hired to remove potato in the village, and earn USD 5 a day in each, but it is not regular. Her mother usually picks the water morning glory at the rice field to sell at the market in order to support her children. Her 1st sister dropped out of school and stays at home. Her 2nd sister is a student in 7th grade at secondary and her brother is in 1st grade at primary school. The family lives in a difficult situation, lacking of foods, rice and money to support their children. Therefore, Phanna needs sponsorship in order to support her education.
