Hi, I'm Mao
I'm a girl, 13 years old and live in Cambodia.
Sambath is introduced by a social worker. The family is vulnerable. Her parents live separately. Her father left home to live with his new wife six years ago. He rarely came to visit or support her. His new family is vulnerable too. Her mother has no stable job. She was hired to pick the vegetables or build the fence or other small construction work. It is really hard for her to buy food for the family. The child needs support to continue her study.
Sambath was in good physical condition. She rarely got a fever or caught a cold. Moreover, she got a kind of skin rash on her elbow and her knee. According to her mother, she did not eat the meal regularly because sometimes, they don’t have money to buy food when she was hungry.
Sambath has a small family. Her mother and she live in a small house on the land of the uncle and aunt-in-law. The mother doesn’t own the land. Her older brother is ordained and lives in a pagoda, so he could study and reduce the burden of the family. The mother has no job to support the family. Sometimes, uncle and aunt-in-law offered them food, clothes, some school materials and money to Sambath. They wanted Sambath to get education but they couldn’t always help because they need to support their family too. Sambath needs support to keep her study.
