Meet Willie! He needs an adoptive family. Could you or someone you know be the right fit for this bright 5-year-old?
Willie is an affectionate, curious little boy with a gentle, timid nature. He loves playing with toys and building puzzles, and he’s happiest when he’s exploring and learning new things. At school, Willie tends to be more introverted and observant, but he’s made several friends and enjoys interacting with his peers and teachers. He attends a pre-kindergarten class where he follows group rules and participates well in activities.
School has helped Willie make great progress with his language skills. He can speak in simple, complete sentences to express his thoughts and needs. Because of mild developmental delays, Willie receives early intervention services for speech, occupational and physical therapy — and he’s doing really well! He can dress himself, put on his shoes, brush his teeth and wash his face independently.
An ideal adoptive family for Willie will be patient, kind and understanding. A school that offers extra support and a home near a medical facility for follow-up appointments and therapy would help him thrive.
