Over the years, the sponsorship program in Uganda has strengthened thousands of deprived and vulnerable children and families to rebuild their lives and regain their hope for the future. The lives of many children and their families have been transformed.
On behalf of every child whose life you have touched, every family you have supported and every community you have strengthened, we reflect on the year 2025 with great joy and deepest gratitude to you. We are glad to share what stood out in the year.
Your amazing generosity helped your sponsored child complete a full year of school, thriving in their studies! Every child in our program received everything they needed to succeed, including a school uniform, tuition fees, and all their books and supplies. Children also enjoyed a mid-morning nutritious snack every school day. Children enjoy learning and are eager to attend every day. More than 95% of the children were promoted to the next classes.
Your support also extended health and nutrition services to the children and communities. Each child had regular health check-ups, vaccinations, access to clean water and sanitation, and nutritional support to combat malnutrition. All malnourished children identified in the community were all supported to full recovery. We empowered the families to ensure food security and improved nutrition, proper hygiene and sanitation, improved income, as well as child protection and positive parenting for a safe, secure and nurturing environment for their children.
As we look ahead, we’re proud of our achievements, but we know there’s still much to do. Millions of children still need our help, and our commitment to their well-being is stronger than ever. Next year, we’ll keep focusing on education, improving health, and building economic stability for families. Your ongoing support, especially through monthly sponsorship, is incredibly important and makes all our work possible.
