A thank you message to 2025 Holt child sponsors from our partner in Thailand!
The year 2025 was marked by economic challenges. Domestic fundraising decreased, family situations grew more complex and finding foster families in Bangkok became more limited. Yet, we remained steadfast in seeking ways to continue our mission. Holt Sahathai Foundation continued to hold deep meaning for the children and families in our care, and we witnessed real change made possible through your kindness and support.
With your support, children who once faced vulnerability now have safe homes, enough milk and food to meet their needs, access to education and hope for the future. Your generosity has turned hardship into lasting opportunities.
The highlight of the year was expanding collaboration with regional agencies to jointly monitor and support families in crisis, ensuring children could remain safely and warmly cared for within their birth families. We also partnered with state orphanages to help more children grow up in foster families rather than institutions.
The greatest impact was working hand in hand with five communities to bring the knowledge of the “First 1,000 Days” into practice. Community volunteers recognized its importance and began sharing this knowledge themselves, giving families confidence and ensuring children received continuous, quality care.
What brings joy to the children is playing and learning through creative activities at our child and family learning centers in Nakhon and After School Program in Bangkok. These experiences bring laughter, friendship, pride, and — most importantly — the chance to grow up surrounded by family, to belong and to feel loved and cared for.
Every step of success this year was possible because of you. On behalf of all the children and families who have received new opportunities, we send our heartfelt gratitude. — Kobgarn Trakulvaree, Executive Director, Holt Sahathai Foundation
