Warm for the Winter

Holt donors gave warm clothing, food and more to children in Vietnam!

Holt donors have a generous reputation. Even in small impoverished villages across the world! You’re known to help children in need.

That’s why when temperatures dropped to chilling degrees in Vietnam, a local government asked Holt for help. Children needed warm clothing.

These children live at a government-mandated boarding school in one of the poorest provinces in the country. Most of the kids come from families who live on nearby hillsides where they are chronically poor.

When the weather got cold, children didn’t have the clothes they needed to stay warm.

But because of you and your generous giving, children got the warm clothing they needed right away — plus even more!

You helped purchase warm hats, socks and gloves for all of the children at this boarding school.

But because you give above and beyond for children in need, the children received more than just the cold weather items. They also received cookies, fortified milk and snack packages. Holt-trained health workers conducted health screenings, hygiene and sanitation trainings, malnutrition tests and gave medicine to treat illnesses right on site.

“The children, their parents, teachers and representatives of the local administration were overjoyed,” says Hoa Ho, Holt Vietnam’s child development worker.

Thank you for going above and beyond for children. Because of you, these students in Vietnam are healthy and warm this winter.

Give a cold weather rescue pack, and keep a child warm this winter!
