Three Smiles, Thanks to You

Thanks to the generous support of Holt donors, three sisters were given the gift of warmth and comfort!

Sara, just 3 years old, lives in Bogotá, Colombia with her two older sisters — Ada, 5, and Isabella, 7 — and their grandmother. To provide for the girls, their grandmother sells arepas and chorizos from home. Her small income covers the basics, but when it comes to winter coats and shoes, there’s simply not enough.

Before your help, the girls wore coats that were far too small and shoes so worn that holes exposed their little feet to the cold and rain. They braved chilly mornings on their way to school, shivering and uncomfortable.

But then your gift arrived!

Thanks to you and other kind donors, the sisters were given new coats and shoes. When they received their gifts, they were so excited they wanted to put on a fashion show to model their new outfits!

Now, they wear their warm jackets and sturdy shoes every day to school — staying dry, cozy and healthy.

Thanks to you, Sara, Ada and Isabella will stay warm and cozy this winter!
