Noelle Needs a Family!

Meet Noelle! This happy 13-year-old is waiting for a permanent, loving family. Could you or someone you know be the right family for Noelle?

Holt social workers visit Noelle regularly and are always excited to spend more time with her. On a recent visit, Noelle had just finished her first day of 7th grade. She shared with our adoption staff that she was particularly excited to catch up with three of her friends and have art as this semester’s elective.

Noelle currently lives with her foster family. The foster family consists of a mom, dad, older siblings, and other foster children. She has strong attachments to her foster family and looks to her foster mom for reassurance and guidance. She is an active part of the family and enjoys going to church where she engages with the rest of the church congregation.

Noelle is described as kind, creative and curious. She is also said to have a good sense of humor. She loves arts and crafts – and can spend hours doodling and sketching. On Fridays, she participates in her school’s painting club. On another visit with Holt adoption staff, she smiled ear to ear as she showed off her notebook full of sketches. She also enjoys watching anime and shopping.

Since living with her foster family, Noelle has made strides in her development and growth. She is committed to trying her best in school and continues to make improvements. She is receiving additional services in school for English. She has also shown great improvement in her social skills and attachment. Although an introvert, Noelle enjoys playing and interacting with friends and peers.

Noelle desires to have an adoptive family one day. She hopes that her adoptive family can be understanding and supportive. An ideal adoptive family for Noelle should be patient with her adjustment. The family should understand an autism diagnosis and be able to provide support through adulthood in some capacity. The family needs to continue to provide therapeutic services for her so she can continue to reach her potential.
