Benjamin is described as friendly, helpful, active, polite and mature. He is currently in the fifth grade and is enjoying school. His reports say he is one of the top performers in his class! His favorite subject is English.
He also loves sports and currently plays on his school’s basketball and soccer teams. For his soccer team, he plays outside wing and on his basketball team, he is the team’s shooting guard. Benjamin has close relationships with his coaches and his friends at his care center. When his friends need help – with homework or sports skills – he is always willing to step up.
An ideal adoptive family for Benjamin should be open to unknowns. They should have parented past his age, be open to learning about and applying Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) techniques and understand older child adoption.
