At Holt International, we are known for our long history of uniting children with families through international adoption. Since 1956, we have also helped serve families here in the United States. Today, we help provide U.S. infant adoption services for families living in Illinois and Wisconsin. Our branch professionals take a caring and personalized approach to serving children, families hoping to adopt and expectant parents facing unplanned pregnancy. Our U.S. adoption programs include domestic infant, interstate and stepparent/relative adoptions.

U.S. Infant Adoption

Our U.S. infant program coordinates open adoptions and matches families living in Illinois and Wisconsin with expectant parents wishing to make an adoption plan for their child.

Interstate Adoption Support

Holt serves hopeful adoptive families living in the 14 states served by our 5 branch offices. We can provide homestudies, adoption support and referrals for families wishing to adopt an infant born in the U.S.

Stepparent & Relative Adoption

We help coordinate stepparent and relative adoptions for Wisconsin parents. Through Holt International, our social workers will help you contact an adoption-competent attorney, walk you through the homestudy process and petition the court.

We offer post adoption services for adoptive families and adoptees living across the U.S.  In Illinois, we provide adoption-competent therapy as an ongoing resource for adoptive parents and adoptees, as well as parent education workshops that help with the unique struggles of adoptive parenting.
