Mary Joy was brought to Little Angels Home Inc. on February 22, 2010, by her maternal aunt, accompanied by a social worker for temporary shelter and further case management. When she was admitted to LAHI, the child was nearly one month old and weighed 4 kilograms. Mary Joy was cared for by her maternal aunt, who has seven children and could not take on the responsibility of raising her.
