John was chosen for Holt Sponsorship because of his family's financial problems. These difficulties make it hard for them to pay for the child's education. However, the child's commitment to learning and attempts to do better in school were important reasons for the decision. With help from Holt and KBF, Holt's partner organization, John will have improved access to educational resources. This will not only boost their academic performance, but it will also have a positive effect on their family. Although challenges remain, there is hope for a better future.
