I'm a girl, 13 years old and live in Southeast Asia.
The child’s father is a bus driver, while the mother does odd jobs in the neighborhood. The mother has two children from the previous relationship and another two with her present partner. All four children are in school. With a huge family to support, a monthly electric and water bill of P1,700.00, a house rental of P4,000.00, and monthly food expenses of P15,000.00, the 12,200.00 monthly salary of the father proves to be remotely insufficient to sustain the daily needs of the family, more so for the educational needs of the child. Left to herself, the continuity of the child’s studies is deemed impossible. The child needs to be supported with his educational supplies and other school-related expenses. The family is very poor. We hope that the child can finish her studies. Through education, the child can help herself and her family out of poverty.
