I'm a boy, 13 years old and live in Southeast Asia.
The child’s father is self-employed (buy and sell) with a monthly income of P5,000.00, while the mother is an on-call housekeeper with a monthly salary of P2,400.00. With five children, all of whom are in school, and a monthly bill of water and electricity of P1,700.00 and food expenses of P9,300.00, the combined income of the couple proves to be remotely insufficient to sustain the daily needs of the family, more so for the educational needs of the child. Left to himself, the continuity of the child’s studies is deemed impossible. The child needs to be supported with her educational supplies and other school-related expenses. The family is very poor. We hope that the child can finish her studies. Through education, the child can help himself and his family out of poverty.
