Meet Maddy! Maddy is an extroverted, easy-going, cheerful and happy little girl! She loves music, acting, singing and dancing. She is currently in public school and enjoys learning new things. She gets along well with others and especially her caregivers. She is not a picky eater and eats just about anything!

Due to Maddy turning 10 this month, she is now in urgent need of a loving and permanent adoptive family. She has also waited a long time already for a family. Maddy has been diagnosed with Down syndrome and a heart defect and currently has a pacemaker. She is learning to be more independent and growing in her communication skills. She is a quiet and content learner and responds positively when spending time in groups doing activities. She enjoys the opportunity to take part in activities like this and is developing more confidence and skills in a supportive environment. She enjoys hanging out with older kids too. She would do well with some older siblings! She is a joy.

An ideal family for Maddy will have access to excellent pediatric medical resources for children with Down syndrome and a good cardiologist. Her family will also need to live near where she can receive speech, occupational and physical therapy if needed. She will need special educational support in school.
