Travel to Cambodia With Us in November!

Over the past 20 years, Holt sponsors and donors have made a tremendous impact in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Cambodia — supplying the tools and resources families need to rise above poverty, and helping to revolutionize the child welfare system through model foster care, kinship care and family reunification programs.

This winter, we invite you to travel with us on a very special trip to Cambodia. On our tour, you’ll not only see the impact of your gifts, but you’ll also experience Holt’s vision for Cambodia and learn how you can create meaningful change in the lives of many more children and families in need.

On the tour, you’ll also have the chance to experience the culture, taste the cuisine, and visit some of the many historic and ancient sites in Cambodia, including the Angkor Wat temples.

The trip will take place from November 14-22, 2026.

The Vision Trip is open to all those who are interested in learning more about Holt’s work and supporting Holt’s vision for Cambodia.

Tour participants will visit Holt’s family strengthening and education programs in several regions, as well as tour ancient and historic sites.

The tour will equip travelers with the knowledge and materials to become an advocate for supporting children and families in Cambodia.

What is the estimated cost for the trip?

$5,000 – $6,000 per person

The range in total cost represents the varying cost of air travel depending on departure city and the type of hotel accommodation chosen by each participant. The total cost also includes ground transportation in Cambodia, most meals, visits to cultural sites, and a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 per person. The deposit is due at the time of registration. The final payment deadline is November 7, 2026.

Is the Cambodia Vision Trip right for me?

Are you interested in supporting Holt’s work with children and families in Cambodia? If you answered, “Yes!” then we are honored to have you join us!

Vision trip participants typically include adult adoptees, adoptive parents and families, donors, passionate travelers and people curious about the world around them. Our common desire is to witness the positive impact of Holt’s work and learn about the needs that are still unmet.

Each vision trip includes a service project, an opportunity for participants to work together to complete a project that directly benefits the local children and families served by Holt.

Physical ability or health issues are NOT disqualifiers from joining a vision trip — we seek to create an inclusive environment that ensures participants have safe and enjoyable trips. Please reach out to the vision trip coordinator with any questions.

What does a typical itinerary look like?

Here is an example of what a Cambodia itinerary may look like. Please note that the itinerary is subject to change.

November 15	Arrive in Phnom Penh and check in to your hotel
November 16	Visit the Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. Meet with students attending the university education program. Meet with Holt Cambodia Management team.
November 17	Travel to Kampot and visit Holt Cambodia’s family strengthening and preschool programs.
November 18	Visit the National Center for Infants and Children (NCIC). Meet with foster parents and visit educational support programs in Phnom Penh.
November 19	Travel day to Battambang province.
November 20	Discover Holt’s work in Battambang province, visiting children and families in Holt’s foster care, domestic adoption, income-generating and educational support programs.
November 21	Travel to Siem Reap province. Visit Angkor Wat temples and explore the Night Market.
November 22	Visit the Old Market. Depart for the U.S.

Is this trip considered a philanthropic gift?

What is a service project?

Each vision trip includes at least one service project, funded by the $1,000 non-refundable deposit required for registration. Service projects vary based on location and need; physical ability is NOT a disqualifier from participating in service projects. Some examples of past service projects include:

Hosting Christmas celebrations for children in institutional care
Completing construction or outfitting of a home
Delivering livestock to families

What is the registration process?

Please complete the online registration form linked below to register before paying your non-refundable deposit of $1,000 per traveler. You will receive confirmation upon completion. For questions regarding registration, please email Jordan Love at jordanl@holtinternational.org.

Once your registration is confirmed, the trip coordinator will email additional forms and information required for your participation.

One registration form and non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required per traveler. The remainder of the trip costs and additional forms will be due prior to departure. Deposit and final payment can be paid by check or online via payment form.

What is the travel process, including the airline?

Flights can be booked through AdTrav, Holt’s travel agent, or you may also book your own flights (if interested in using miles or rewards). If you choose to book your own flights, you must provide Holt with the final itinerary for your flight path, including flight numbers, plus a copy or photo of the first page of your passport.

Visas are required for this trip. Cambodia requires an entry visa as you enter or before entering the country. You can obtain a 30-day tourist visa (Type-T) in advance via the official Cambodian eVisa website or upon arrival at major airports and land borders. The cost is less than $50 per participant. Your passport MUST be valid for 6 months after date of entry.
