Meet Leo! He needs an adoptive family. Could you or someone you know be the right fit for this energetic 4-year-old?
Leo is a friendly and playful boy who enjoys coloring, water play, music and dancing. His favorite activity is watching lion dance performances, which make him smile. Leo loves mealtimes and can feed himself with a spoon. He drinks milk before bedtime and sleeps through the night.
Leo can sit, stand, climb, and take his shoes off and on independently. It brings him joy to imitate his caregivers, such as sweeping the floor, watering plants and doing other daily activities. Leo is currently learning the English alphabet, the names of objects, his body parts and how to speak in sentences. He has learned to say, “thank you” and “sorry.” Leo is very social and expresses himself often by waving and giving high fives.
An ideal family for Leo will be patient, kind and open to parenting a child with Down syndrome. Because Leo enjoys being around other children, an ideal family will have older children or family friends with children he can play with. Leo will also need access to a cardiologist at a nearby medical facility, along with therapeutic services as needed to help him grow and thrive.
If you think you or someone you know could be the right family for Leo, please email our waiting child team at waitingchild@holtinternational.org! We cannot share photos of Leo publicly due to country restrictions on privacy and adoption. However, the waiting child team has more photos and videos available to share with prospective families interested in adoption.
