Anthony is a cheerful little boy who enjoys playing with his friends. His favorite toys are his skateboard and some of his toys that light up. Paw Patrol is his favorite TV show, and he has a collection of plush toys from the show he likes to play with too. He enjoys music and dancing to the rhythm of different beats!
Anthony has a close and healthy relationship with his caregivers. He feels secure when he is with them and is affectionate towards them. He has been through an early childhood education program as well as kindergarten. He happily completes his assignments and follows instructions well. Anthony is growing in his fine motor development and can use pencils and crayons to draw. He is currently learning to tie his shoes!
Anthony has a cleft lip and palate, but it does not seem to interfere with his nutritional intake and growth. He is growing well and has a healthy diet. He has undergone some surgical procedures to help with his cleft lip and palate but will still need more. For now, he is learning to communicate with sign language and nonverbal communication skills.
An ideal adoptive family for Anthony will have the resources to help him with the surgeries that he will still need. To support his communication skills, the family will also be able to connect him with a good speech therapist and speak Spanish at home to help with his transition.
