With 25 years of experience working with Holt International, Ann Cleary serves as Director of Holt's California Branch Office. She received both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and has a background in children's mental health. Ann is passionate about Holt's mission and dedicated to giving adoptive parents quality preparation and support.

Sharon Walsh, BS
Sharon assists families with the adoption paperwork process in our California office from the point of application to finalization. She has a teaching background and has also been a program coordinator for international students. With her experience, Sharon also brings enthusiasm and a desire to help families with the details of their adoption journey.
Greater Sacramento Area and Northern California
Sam has over 10 years of experience working with children and families. She began her career as a middle school teacher and then earned her master's degree in social work from The University of Texas at Austin before moving to California. Sam has worked with Child Protective Services, private foster agencies and in community counseling. Sam loves helping families and children find stability and happiness.
Deborah Ingram completed her bachelor's degree in social psychology from the University of California–Santa Cruz, and her master's degree in clinical psychology from Chapman University. Deborah has over 25 years of experience in social services, working within diverse populations in multiple settings including the field of mental health. She is passionate about working with families in her community and has extensive experience working with adoption and children in foster care. Deborah says, "Coming to work with Holt International allows me to participate in the joy of adoption. Holt's commitment to excellence is palpable. I am honored to be a part of our team, and to be a part of Holt families' lives as they embark on the amazing journey of adoption."
Kimberly Dowd-Uribe has 15 years of professional experience working with youth and families. She acquired her license in clinical psychology in Bogota, Colombia and a master's degree in East-West psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She has worked in different countries — offering counseling, leading support groups, promoting community awareness and providing crisis intervention for individuals, children and families. Kim is a fervent advocate of adoption and is passionate about supporting families through the adoption process.

Ilana Cohen, MSW, LCSW
Ilana has worked for Holt International for more than eight years and assists families throughout Los Angeles County with their adoptions. She attended New York University and graduated with a Masters in Clinical Social Work. Ilana enjoys working with children and families and assisting them throughout their adoption journey.

Michael Guinn, MA
With his background in intercountry adoption, foster care social work, and elementary education, Mike has helped Holt "find families for children" in Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties since 1999.
Southern Californian Korean speaking families
Sungeun Park, MSW
Sungeun's broad experience in family therapy and parental counseling in both the United States and Korea make her a wonderful asset to Holt's team. With a Master's degree in social work, Sungeun has served adoptive families in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino and San Diego since 2004, specializing in Korean adoption. Fluent in Korean and English, Sungeun is uniquely qualified to assist adoptive families in the United States and Korea.
Carolyn Cain, MSW
For several years Carolyn studied at a Bible college before completing her Bachelor's degree in human services and receiving a Master's degree in social work from California State University Long Beach. Carolyn and her husband live in Clovis, California and have four girls, two of whom were adopted from China through Holt. Before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom, Carolyn worked for several years at Holt International. In addition to her experience in international adoption, Carolyn has also worked with a private foster care agency. In August 2009, Carolyn happily resumed her work with Holt International, helping families through the adoption process as a social worker.
