This affectionate, easygoing little boy has been in care since 3 months old. He's described as eager to learn new things and has a good memory. He came into care in 2006 due to his health conditions and his biological parent's difficult circumstances. He's diagnosed with multiple congenital issues; including anal atresia, congenital heart disease, and scoliosis. He's received follow up care including two surgeries. In 2009, a surgery was performed to address his anorectal malformation. In 2010, he received heart surgery. He has a yearly heart checkup, which is reportedly normal now but receives maintenance medication. He runs and walks well and helps without being asked. Rowan enjoys school and favorite subject is math. He also enjoys soccer, painting, singing, dancing, playing hide and seek with friends, and reading. Rowan has two close friends and plays well with other children. His favorite foods are fried chicken and fried rice. In the future he'd like to be a policeman. This sweet boy needs an adoptive family that's open to unknowns, has access to medical resources, and has strong understanding of older child adoption.
