Hello! We want to say thank you so much for taking a peek into our life together! We are very excited for you to have our profile in your hands, but, we can’t even begin to understand the magnitude of the decision you are facing. We hope that this book can provide you with a snapshot of what our life is like, as well as the people in our lives that will love your child along with us.
We will devote our lives to making sure your child has everything they need and more love than they could ever imagine. We promise to make sure your child knows love, laughter and a lifetime of happiness. We promise we will do everything we can to make sure that your child knows where he or she came from and all about the family that loves them so much.
We can’t pretend to know the amount of strength and courage this decision takes. We are truly blessed to be given the opportunity to be chosen by you to be your child’s parents and for that we are forever grateful.

Our Story
To tell you a little bit about ourselves, we have been married for almost a decade and are so excited to start our family! Being parents has always been part of our plan from the very beginning! After being unsuccessful on our own, we completed several rounds of infertility treatments. From the early part of our marriage, adoption was always something that was in our hearts when starting our family. We have a few close friends that have adopted and some that were even adopted themselves.
We were introduced by Donatas’ brother who lived down the street from Jill. We had been attending the same college and had mutual friends, but never crossed paths.
We began dating in October 2004 and married exactly 5 years later. The last 15 years together have been amazing, but we can’t wait to add to our story by starting our family!
Our Home
We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom brick home in the Southern Suburbs. Our home is in a cute neighborhood with A LOT of kids! Our home has a fully finished basement with lots of room to play, a backyard with a pool and a sun room to play in when it’s raining and we want to be outside.
We are in walking distance to a park as well as the school our child will attend. Our school district is one of the highest in our county. One of the benefits of having a neighborhood with a lot of kids is there will always be someone to play and go to school with.
Lylee
She is a 10-year-old Black Lab & Schipperke mix. We rescued her when she was 12-weeks-old and weighed a whopping 8 lbs.
She can most often be found laying on anything soft, most likely a blanket. She loves carrying her toys around the house and gets SO excited when people come to visit. She has been fantastic around kids from babies to teenagers!
We look forward to seeing the bond between our child and Lylee!

What Donatas Thinks About Jill
Jill is the most wonderful, kindest, caring person in the world. Jill’s love for people, animals, and her job amazes me every day. She goes above and beyond to help anyone and everyone, especially kids. Jill will make a wonderful mother, has an amazing character and is wonderful to be around. People and kids are drawn to her wherever she is. The first time I saw Jill was during our undergraduate college graduation.
It wasn’t until a few months later that we meet. However, when we did meet it was a match made in heaven. We have been together for over 15 years and it has been wonderful. Jill is the love of my life and my best friend. Nothing would make her happier than you choosing us for the most special gift in the world.

What Jill Thinks About Donatas
Donatas is a gentle giant. Standing at 6’5″, he seems so tall but when there is a baby or toddler around, they are just captivated by him. The cute thing is, he is just as captivated with them. Most of our friends have children and to see him play with them warms my heart. He is such a patient and kind person. There is no greater feeling than looking over and seeing your best friends little girls curled up watching a movie with him. He is amazing with children and that’s one of the qualities he had that made me fall in love with him. As a husband, he is more than any person could want as a spouse. He is there to support and encourage me, lend a hand to anyone that needs it and so much more. He truly is one of the greatest people I am blessed to have in my life. I cannot wait to see him as a Dad!
Jill’s Family
Jill grew up in her childhood home in the Southern Suburbs until she and Donatas bought their home. Joyce, Jill’s Mom, lives within a half a mile from Jill and Donatas, with other relatives living nearby.
Family is something that is so important to Jill. Jill is an only child and loves it! As a child, Jill enjoyed spending time with her parents and cousin. Unfortunately, Jill’s Dad, Tom, died unexpectedly when she was 18-years-old. Jill was “Daddy’s girl” and he taught her many things such as how to change a tire and all about computers. She has always been and still is very close with her Mom.
Jill’s Mom is very much looking forward to becoming a first-time Grandmother. To say Jill’s family is SO excited to welcome a baby into the family is an understatement!
Donatas’ Family
Donatas was born in Siauliai, Lithuania. He has one brother, Gitanas, who is almost 9 years older. Donatas had a great childhood, playing outside with friends and cousins that lived nearby.
He speaks fluent Lithuanian and English, as well as conversational Spanish and Russian. Donatas and his family left Lithuania in 1990 to come to the US and lived in the Southern Suburbs.
Gitanas and his family live less than a half a mile away, two houses down from Jill’s Mom. Donatas and his brother are extremely close and can often be found working on their cars. This grandchild will be the first grandchild in over 20 years. Donatas’ family is so excited and anxious to welcome a new baby into the family.
Our Favorite Things To Do
We love to do all sorts of fun things. We love to travel, we’ve been to several countries and go to Michigan and Florida every year. We are season ticket holders to Chicago Fire, Donatas is a huge soccer fan. We also love to check out new plays and attend concerts. We like going to movies and the zoo. We enjoy hosting family dinners and having friends over to sit out by the fire pit or even have a game night. Jill loves to entertain and cook. While we love going places and doing things, we love being at home, as well. We are enthusiastic about showing your child all the fun things we enjoy.
Annual Michigan Trip
What started out as a fun little family vacation has grown into something we all count down to! For the past 14 years, our family has a wonderful tradition of renting a home in Michigan for a week.
On our family vacations, you can find us cooking meals, shopping the cute stores in the nearby towns, walking the beach at the lake, reading and playing with Zoey, playing games and taking family pictures. We are really looking forward to showing the newest member of our family all the fun things we do!
We hope that our baby and Zoey are as close as Ryan and Jill are!
Family & Friends
These are the friends in our lives that mean so much and will continue to support us through this journey! There are many kids in our circle of friends that will be looking forward to having a new playmate! Family and friends are the most important things to us! Spending time with them is something we do often!
