For us, it was never a question of whether we wanted to be parents. We have so much love in our family, and we’ve always known that we want to share it with a child of our own. But for all the things we are so proud to do ourselves, we can’t add to our family without having help. We want you to know that we would love and care for your child with all our hearts.

Our Story & How We Met
From the first time we met in 2010, at a coffee shop in Minneapolis in the middle of a snow storm, we knew we had found something special. It was a meeting of kindred spirits, and we quickly learned that what we could accomplish was limited only by our dreams and our enthusiasm. We were married in 2013 and haven’t looked back.
We have never been afraid to try something new, even if that means to fail and try again. We raise animals and grow food, we build furniture, we write books, we design and create, and always we work with the belief that what we do matters.
We always knew that we wanted to move back to the country, and after getting our education and first work experiences in the city, we bought a farm. Our fields are small, and our equipment is timeworn, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We like to do things the old way, from working the land with our horses to making our own soap and building with heavy timbers.
About Us
We have found so much joy in running a small farm, from catching our free-range goats sneaking into the garage to driving our powerful draft horses. We’ve also traveled together – across the United States and Canada and Europe – but we enjoy quiet weekends at home just as much. We have a great group of friends who are always ready to get together for a game night or to help out on the farm. We love to try to new restaurants and spend our time outside going hiking and exploring.
We are so eager to open up our family and our hearts, and because of our work situations, we will both be stay at home parents. As future parents, we believe that every child has a passion and that it’s important for us to support what they love. We believe in hard work and striving for what we want, but at the same time, being thankful for what we have.
About Mitchell
Even though I (Mitchell) have an accounting degree, I’ve always preferred to create and grow and raise things. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, and I enjoy spending time with all the critters on our farm. When I’m not working on the farm or managing our barn wedding venue, I spend my time in our woodshop building custom hardwood furniture. In addition to a few favorite pieces I have built for our own home like our dining room table and our bed frame, I design and build furniture for customers across the Midwest. I also have several large gardens and a fruit orchard, and I love being able to provide food for my family that I grow myself.
About Chase
For my job, I (Chase) manage inventory for a company that makes swimsuits, and I’m fortunate to work fully from my home office. I also serve as our town chairman, which is like a mayor but for a rural area. In my spare time, I’m usually helping Mitchell on the farm or cuddled up with our two dogs and working on my next book. I’ve published five novels, and it’s a hobby I love to spend time on during the winter months. Besides writing, I have a passion for travel and I have learned to speak fluent German and French along the way.
Our Home & Community
Even though we are just a few miles from the nearest city, we live in the country on a dead end road with almost no traffic. We have wonderful neighbors, and because of Chase’s position in local government, we are well-known in the community.
Our Families
We’re close with our families and love spending time with them on holidays and vacations. We’re so lucky to have such wonderful family in our lives, and everyone is excited to help us a welcome a new member to our family. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, parents, and siblings, we have a family full of love!
Pets
Our two dogs, Alex and Charlie, are both so sweet and playful. They have been a part of our lives for several years, and we can’t imagine not having them around. Charlie is energetic and adventurous, but Alex is a better cuddler.
