Dalin and her siblings are living with her single mother. Her father abandoned the family to be with another woman. Dalin is the oldest child in the family and her family is extremely poor. To feed the three children, the mother catches crabs or fishes for selling or she may work for other farmers in the rice field when she is needed.
When admitted into the program, Dalin had no medical concern. She looked healthy but she was not very clean since she often went to rice field catching crabs, fishes or snails for food.
Dalin lives in a peasant family and her mother can hardly earn enough money to support all the three children. Sometimes, the mother does not send the children to hospital for medical treatment when they fall sick because she cannot afford to pay the medical bill.
