Hi, I'm Dagim
I'm a boy, 8 years old and live in Ethiopia.
Dagim lives with both of his parents in a family of nine. He is the sixth child, with six siblings: four brothers and two sisters. His father is a subsistence farmer, and his mother is a housewife. The parents are struggling to meet the basic needs and educational material requirements of their children. Because of this, they believe that having the Wallana school in the area is a great opportunity. This academic year, Dagim was enrolled in the Wallana school by his mother since it’s the only school nearby that offers quality education and has no tuition fees. Furthermore, his family cannot meet his educational needs due to their poor economic situation.
