Could you or someone you know be the right family for Bodin?
When asked how they would describe Bodin, his caregivers said he has a sunny personality! Bodin has some special needs, but he is a fighter who never gives up. He has not had the opportunity to attend school as much as other children in the orphanage, but when he attended special education classes in 2018, he was loved by both his classmates and his teachers.
Bodin came into care in China when he was just 2 days old. He just turned 10 in January. Bodin has myasthenia, which is a neuromuscular disease that causes weakness in the muscles, including the arms and legs. He uses a wheelchair to get around and although his physical therapy can be painful, Bodin is eager to make progress and pushes through the pain. His caregivers say he never gives up.
Bodin articulates himself well, has a good memory and his cognitive development is on track with his peers.
Although he has waited ten years, Bodin has never given up hope of having a loving, permanent family of his own. He needs a family that is open to his special needs and to learning about older child adoption. Most of all, he needs a family who will give him the love and care he so needs and deserves!
