ID: B09_201
DOB: April 25, 2005
This special little boy came into care when he was approximately 2 days old. Upon admission he was found to have bilateral ear atresia and weighed 7.7lbs. His caregivers describe him as a quiet and shy child who is very sweet. He currently attends preschool. He reportedly has not suffered from any major illness since coming into care, only the common cold, and he does have chronic conjunctivitis. He is able to walk, run and jump as well as feed and dress himself. He speaks 2 to 3 word sentences but his pronunciation is not clear. He is in need of a family who is able to provide him with the medical care and therapies that he will need.
To adopt this child, applicants must be 30-54 years old and meet an income requirement of $30,000 plus $10,000 per additional family member, with $80,000 net worth. More than 4 children in the home may be accepted.* See country criteria for complete requirements. |

Journey of Hope - New Referral Group from East Asia
The Waiting Child Program was pleased to receive a special referral group of children from East Asia. These children took part in a special camp and each has a detailed interview and short video included in their child material. Holt has been given a limited amount of time to find homes for these children. All of the children have a reduction in their Holt fees. In honor of these children, Holt will be waiving the initial $50 application fee to receive waiting child information starting September 1, 2009. (please note that the full $300 application fee will be applied at a later date if you proceed). Please contact either Jessica or Erin if you are interested in reviewing any of their files.
