Daniel is a gentle and cooperative boy born full term at 39 weeks, weighing 3.43 kg (7.5lbs). He is growing well under his foster family's loving care. His February 2017 Well Baby Check reports he is in the 75 percentile for height, 90th percentile for height and head circumference. Daniel is reported to have a mild developmental delay particularly in language and a recent ophthalmology exam reports he has astigmatism. At 2 years old, he is assessed at 24-27 months in gross motor skills, 27 months in fine motor, and 20 months in language. He has been regularly attending speech therapy since October 2015 to improve his speech skills. Developmentally, he walks well, runs, walks backward, scribbles if given paper, knows his body parts, understands simple instructions, and throws a ball above his head. He enjoys books with sound, playing with balls, cars, and splashing in water when taking a bath. He has a good appetite and enjoys sweet potato, squash, noodles, chicken, and pizza. This sweet boy is in need of a family that is open to developmental unknowns and that can provide any needed therapies.
