Adoption agreement signed by U.S. and Vietnam
An adoption agreement between the United States and Vietnam was signed today in Washington D.C., re-opening adoptions between the two countries.
The new agreement requires that adoptions from Vietnam must now be facilitated by a licensed adoption agency. Private independent adoptions are prohibited. The requirements for licensing and other details are not yet available but are expected shortly.
