He loves playing games, "Hide-Seek"...where he hides behind the washer--every time, "Duck-Goose"...where he runs all over the house with someone chasing him, and "Peek-Boo" where he covers his good eye and we all laugh because it just looks so funny not covering both eyes!
Our first 4 kids range in ages from 14-9, then Elisha at 2...so he's picked up the teen and preteen attitude and terminology... as in "Mom, I need a drink of water, DUH."..."Mom, don't kill me!" (cause I threw a blanket on his head
Everyday, I am so thankful for our little guy. We tell him that his prosthetic eye was his ticket home, and that's what he calls it too. We had too many children to adopt a "healthy" child from India, Elisha would not have been allowed to be adopted by an American family without it and his BM probably would not have relinquished him otherwise. It's so cool when God takes something bad and turns it into something Really Really Good.
And I'm feeling a bit nostalgic because about 2 years ago this month, I was getting on the WC to check his profile everyday to see if someone had decided to adopt him. We weren't planning on starting another adoption "quite yet" but we saw his profile and hoped India would consider us for him...and now he's home with us...somedays God just overwhelms me with how good He is.
