Are there any good books on African Adoption?

Are there any good books on African Adoption?

Postby xinyumom » Thu Aug 20, 2009 4:20 pm

Jumping over from the China board.

My husband and I are starting a Rwanda adoption. I'm having trouble finding resources on African adoption. I see that there are some on African-American Domestic adoption but I would think that there would be different issues.

Maybe because it is still relatively new there just aren't that many?

I did find the post on children's books. I'm all over that!

Thanks for your help!

Are you looking for books on the process, on parenting black children, on African culture?? I may be able to help but wasn't sure what specific aspect you are wondering about

Thanks! I'll check that one out.

Also, I just finished reading "From Ashes to Africa." It is the story of one couple dealing with infertility and adopting a baby boy from Ethiopia.

Great book!
