Study showing the effect of chronic stress on intelligence

At the risk of revealing myself for the total nerd that I am, I was reading the latest issue of "The Economist" this morning and thought this article was interesting.

It describes a recent study that shows the link of chronic stress, as caused by living in poverty, has on the brain. Given the recent discussion of whether economic conditions were suitable reasons for removing a child from a country or family, I thought this was particularly interesting.

And just for the record, I'm not arguing for anything one way or the other - I just thought this was interesting .
