This is a sweet boy who was previously in foster care, but is now currently in a positive institutional environment in which he loves to hug his room mother. In his report from December 2010, he could walk well, walk upstairs with his hand held, say about 8-10 words, and was assessed to be at a 16-18 month developmental level. This little guy was born premature, weighing only 2.84 lbs and having intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR). In August 2007, he was diagnosed with failure to thrive. It was also noted that his birth mother had a smoking episode during her pregnancy. In July 2008 he was diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome. He started receiving growth hormone treatment in September 2010. A family who has access to the resources he needs would be best for this charming boy. State of residence may be flexible, please inquire for more details.
