FAQs
Below are answers to commonly asked questions about Holt’s Ambassador Program.
Can I be a Holt Ambassador?
Anyone who believes in Holt’s vision can be an ambassador: adoptive families, adoptees, adoptees’ siblings/other relatives, child sponsors, volunteers, friends of Holt, etc. make great Ambassadors.
How do I become a Holt Ambassador?
Simply contact Holt’s Family Recruiter, Sally, and say, “I want to be a Holt Ambassador.” Include your name and contact information. Sally will call you to talk in more detail about the program. She will provide you with a list of “starter” ideas for how you can share about Holt in your local area. From there, Ambassadors are encouraged to be as creative and active as they wish to be.
What is required of me as a Holt Ambassador?
Holt Ambassadors can be as involved as they wish to be. Some Ambassadors run adoption information groups from their home or church, others volunteer at Holt Picnics, auctions, or concerts where Holt’s message is featured. Other Ambassadors share their adoption story through a family blog or in Holt’s Online Information Webinars, while some Ambassadors simply keep Holt business cards handy and refer people to Holt staff who have questions about adoption. The only requirement (actually more like a sincere request) is that Ambassadors report back to Holt’s Family Recruiter or Intake Social Worker on outcomes of what they’re doing. This way, we can share with others how Ambassadors are making a difference in the lives of children in need around the world.
What do Holt Ambassadors receive in exchange for their support of Holt?
You can find satisfaction in knowing that children gain adoptive families of their very own because of the work of Holt Ambassadors. You can also meet others and develop friendships with people who share a similar passion of helping children find families. Last but not least, you will have the support and resources you need to be effective, including the latest news on adoption programs, videos, promotional materials, and more – free of charge.
