While options for singles wishing to adopt are more limited than for married couples, with the recent addition of several new programs Holt is now able to offer more options for singles.

Bulgaria, Haiti and Kyrgyzstan place children with single women. If you are open to adopting a child with special needs, Vietnam and India offer possibilities. And, in the near future Holt plans to open a program in Nepal, which also places children with single women.

We will connect you with staff in our international programs who will talk with you about your eligibility and the types of children available for adoption. Or you may speak with someone in our Waiting Child Program. If you identify a program that is a good fit, we will send an application packet to you to start the process.
